The series was created by Tucson-born and raised Dennis Leoni, who has used his life experiences to shape his creative endeavors.

The Leoni Filmmaking Scholarship
This $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in a film program at one of the Tucson-area high schools (Desert View, Palo Verde, Pueblo, Rincon, and Tucson High) who wishes to continue aspirations in Film & TV production.
This scholarship honors the show’s legacy by empowering the next generation of storytellers like Dennis and Debbie. Our starting goal is to be able to fund this Scholarship through the next 4 years.
The scholarship will be presented during the event at the Fox Theatre on October 19, 2025.
